I love the geek syndicate. I think they've been out and about the conventions at least as long as I have and they seem to be taking over the world. Why I start off Germanic in this interview I'll never know:

also, the fetishman shop now has issue 12! hopefully this weekend some more stuff, but I'll keep you posted.

17 days and counting. This will either be brilliant or a travesty. Scratch that, it will either be a brilliant travesty or something neither suitably brilliant-ening nor sufficiently travest-ating.

… and a london rope-bondage photography exhibition thing!

Nuts, just remembered i should have told you guys about this, like, a couple of weeks ago …

… so anyway, the kind lady who helps with my press releases and stuff, called Sara, may also happen to be a fetish model Yes, I know this is just confirming all your suspicions about the fetishman empire. Ace isn't it? Anyway, herself and a lovely photographer-fellow collaborated and have an exhibition at Sh!'s new premises on Portobello road in London! Hurrah! But take note that it's just for November so go! go now! or at least after you get back from Thought Bubble (that means you Sheret)!

ENTWINED
The latest exhibition from photographer and illustrator, ASYLUMseventy7, and fetish model Aeval Fyre offers a surrealist view on traditional Japanese rope bondage.

Having previously worked together on several projects, both parties wanted to present a different slant on rope bondage photography. The images demonstrate the beauty of knot work as an art form and how the body can work with rope rather than just be constrained by it.

Mark Leary, the man behind ASYLUMseventy7, is known for his darkly creative concepts both in photography and illustration. He uses his own style of rope work in a variety of settings from fashion nude to gore. He has spent many hours tying up model, Aeval Fyre who then spent considerably more time contorting into various positions.

Specialising in fetish art and art nude work, Aeval Fyre’s work includes the Skin Two North Ball, Whitby Goth Almanack, promo model for the Fetishman comic and has modelled for designers such as Cathouse Clothing, Lovechild Boudoir and Little Rubber Cherry.

The free exhibition runs throughout November at Sh! Women's Erotic Emporium on Portobello Road, the framed limited edition prints will also be available to buy.

also … paper science 3!

… and also at thought bubble will be the new paper science!

Half a year back Matt Sheret very kindly asked me to do a cover for We Are Words And Pictures bi-annual newspaper-print anthology, and after only a very brief bit of discussion we settled on the giant lady-powered tea-machine! So basically I'm dead excited for 3 reasons:
1) it's really touching to be asked to do the cover for such a beautifully odd publication
2) i love tea
3) i got to play at drawing heath-robinson stuff! If you've not looked recently go and have another peek at Heath-Robinson's work, not only is his linework beautiful, his people are just so full of character. Getting to do some of that for just one cover is a joy.

oh and to cap it off:
4) Hugh "shug" Raine, of Leeds Alternative Comics Fair fame, occupies the back cover spot, so basically the Leeds comics guys are endemic! sorted. Oh and Philippa Rice of of My Cardboard Life is in there too. Oh shush, look, it's just going to be ace is all. Ace I say!

So yeah, basically, I'm as chuffed as chuffed thing in chuffington-on-chuffed, chuffedshire.
