Yeah, sorry for the radio silence my loves, been a hectic few weeks but definitely a fruit-bearing few.
May's been a bit of a busy one. Last weekend was the lovely Bristol Small Press Expo with the popular conclusion being that I should draw more kraken. I may have enlisted a few more people in the First Tea Company. As ever I spent too little time hanging out with too few people (cons need an extra 24 hours in every evening). One thing I do have to shout at you all about is a beautiful manifestation of the diverse madness that typifies small-press: Sam Gardner and Cape Fear Comics have released a musical comic. Truly it is a thing of wonder.
Next weekend is the MCM Expo in London, by which time, if we're lucky, I should have my large-format poster ready (it turns out if required a little more time than I expected). Think I'm bringing up some bits of the Travelling Tea Museum too for the steampunk guys.
And in between that I've been building the webshop (it's so close!) and making plans for the Great Steampunk Exhibition starting in June
Anyway, I need to draw stuff before Mavis gets here as tonight's the Erotic Awards and the Night of the Senses. Should be good fun tonight, very touched that the fetishman website has reached the finalist stage, although I have a nagging feeling that I'm going to start giggling at willies after the first couple of minutes and totally blow my facade of "serious artist"-ness ("what facade?" yes, yes, i know, I do try sometimes you know. Okay no I don't try at all, but still). Chatted with Kyle about getting a 12 foot banner made for the stall, not going to but my current favourite is "Erotic Award Finalist for Depravity, Cuteness & Beverages".
Hope things are good with you guys, don't do anything I wouldn't do or at the very least get consent (although with reference to the UK Spanner case they'll still arrest us, but at least we'll know they're in the wrong)
