The weekend of hectic continues apace: just had a delightful afternoon's trading at Hoodoo events' Leeds Victorian Xmas Market, am now on a train to the capital for tomorrow's London Alternative Bring & Buy! So London-folk if you need Xmas-ish items, such as fetish-y comics or tea-y embroidered badges or the limited quantities of wrapping paper and tiny tea medals I have on me, you can find us in Tufnell park tomorrow.

Thought Bubble & the Foxlowe Arts Centre

It's a bit late in the day to shout at thee I'll grant, but the Foxlowe Arts Centre in Leek have been having a brilliant exhibition of steampunk-ish stuffs at the moment, the last day is this sunday but if you can get to Leek then it really is an excellent mix of creators:

Clearly this weekend I and the big fake pop-up museum will be at Leeds' most excellent Thought Bubble festival. TB has grown into one of the best and biggest comic events in the UK so if you're a fan of comic-ry of all flavours, or more specifically would like smutty tea-ish fake-historical comics or posters, or to see the terrifying museum in all its wonder, or wish for a copy of the second Steampunk Literary Review or fetishman #16 (as we're still need to get it out to shops and that) then you'll find us in the Armouries Hall on saturday and sunday this weekend. And if that doesn't persuade you then know that Kate Beaton will be there and I will be trying to quell my urge to be socially inept round her BECAUSE SHE IS THAT GOD-DAMNED AMAZING! (Honestly, my fan-boy-ery isn't something anyone would wish for, it nearly always manifests as awkward incompetence) COME TO LEEDS!

Truly people, it's a weekend out, a bit of Foxlowe, a bit of Leeds, when december hits you'll all be mad busy so now's you're opportunity. It's cool, you can thank me later for planning it all for you!

Steampunk-ing at the MCM Expo!

MWAHAHAHAHA! What is it that I'm up to at this London Mcm Expo? Nothing less than shear awesome!

Yep, this time round, as a change to my typical set up with mighty Comic Village guys I, and the tea museum, have been invited to join the Steampunk area!! ALL FOR THE LARKS!! All entirely for the larks I say. Close enough to hurl abuse at my lovely comic-ing comrades but accompanied by the entirety of the tea-museum, this MCM can be nothing less than FEARSOME! Hell, the steampunk area even has a zeppelin flight simulator this time, this MCM's going to be a total laugh.

So yeah, if yer about I'll see you there. And if you need any more persuading to come to London this weekend then there is also the astounding goodness of White Mischief on the saturday evening – I can't make ti this time but feel free to find me on the sunday and make me feel jealous of your good selves.

Leeds, sweet Steampunk Market Leeds

Hi! And sorry!

Damn but it's been a busy few months, I neglect you guys terribly I do, still need to get the fetishman website updating again (do you know of issue 15? of course not! It is a secret that few are privy to … unless they bought it or something … and it's so full of lovely naked Vikings! And the first part to the issue I'm about to do for the upcoming Whitby Goth Weekend!!) but there was the second steampunk literary review! And all that was the Lincoln Steampunk Weekend! And, yeah, I need to witter at you guys properly soon, hell there's a medal and shit! Weird. I blame you lot.

So, with blame duly apportioned I think it's only that you should come and join me at the Leeds Steampunk Market this weekend! (Oooh, harsh Geof, surely they've suffered enough already?) It's our first anniversary and the 3rd Leeds market ever, should be a hoot: there's the new Steampunk Literary Review and the new badges and stuff, the First Tea Company Museum, a mighty host of some of the finest steampunk artisans the UK can offer, and well, loads and load of tea! Compelling No?
