WHO AM I? WHICH WAY IS UP?

Seriously, I get back from from my anniversary with Alex (woo! not meaning to mock those with a poor understanding of "correlation vs cause" but before the weekend I was on crutches and now I'm not! So yeah, if homeopathy can get NHS funding then Alex should be able to make a mint) and it seems that past-Geof basically spent most of his time plotting against future-Geof. Asshole. Is stall version 5 finished? no. Are the webcomics updating again? no. Is the next Leeds Steampunk Market poster done? no. Have I even got the second steampunk literary review and the new mugs onto the webshop yet??!! dagnabbit no. Past-Geof even left the Lincoln stall for me to finish tidying. Damn it that guy deserved crutches! (Hmmmm, maybe the correct explanation for how I partially tore my calf muscle is that my current fury travelled back in time to teach past-Geof the lesson he so richly deserves? Meh, it's the best explanation I've got).

So yeah, while I fly in the face of causation & before I successfully manage to do those twelve things all at once that I need to do, you can find me, the new patches, the new tins, the new mugs, the new posters, AND THE TOTALLY AWESOME SECOND STEAMPUNK LITERARY REVIEW (the least review-y review since reviewing shit began!) at the delightful Alternative & Burlesque Fair in Manchester this saturday! Join me! It'll be ace! It's got all that stuff you really like in! And me! (whu? hold on there …)

saturday 22nd september, 11am til 5pm
Manchester Alternative &burlesque fair

saturday 6th & sunday 7th october

Fetishman 15 and the London film and comic con

Mmmm, I'm set up at the London film and comic con, I've just returned from a cheeky breakfast at a cafe round the corner, and before leaving I made fetishman #15 (the big gay vikings issue! Part 1) available in the webshop! And soon even Travelling Man and OK Comics will have it too!

So yes, whilst I am woefully behind with everything (the "rocket bee" embroidered badge is coming soon! Sooooon!) I am now ever-so-slightly less behind. Now, go and get mighty Viking spanky-fun-time comicry while the postage on the webshop is still at the old royal mail rates …

Hello there interneteers!

It's been a while hasn't it? Like the proverbial swan my recent glacial web-calmness is hiding a frenetic level of IRL-doing-ery, but I'll admit it looks like an awful lot of nothing from your point of view doesn't it? Probably the thing that's of most significance is the workshop: the empire has finally upped sticks from under my bed and moved into a tower of art along with the mighty Anne Stokes and the amazing John Woodward. It's taking a bit of time to sort and move and that, last saturday for example a veritable horde of minions descended on the workshop and built me 14 foot of shelving (thank you!)(although I am now baffled as to how all this previously fitted into my house), but I should be all moved in by next week. It's all part of the ingenious master plan "make more time to draw stuff" which is thankfully already bearing some fruit.

For now my apologies for being so negligent towards you all, if you want physical proof that I'm alive then you can check on my condition at either the First Tea Company Olympics in Halifax this weekend, with the Travelling Tea Museum in attendance, DV8fest in York the following weekend, or the London Film and Comic Con the weekend after that.

anyhoo, hope you're all doing well and hopefully see you soon

no, I’m not awake, I’m sound asleep

This isn't me awake in the wee small hours before driving to Bristol for the Bristol Comic con. I'm getting a good night's sleep right now. Absolutely. Zzzzzzzzzz etc.

Ooh, but while we're here:

a) Bristol, seriously, it may well be one of the finest displays of my First Tea Company Travelling museum to date, there's like a separate room and everything, all I'm doing now is fretting that there's so much more I want to build! Fingers crossed we may even have Herr Doktor's Eterni-Tea working. See you there if you're coming!

and a little more about the museum and the latest fetishman, #15

b) Last weekend's London jaunt was ace! Seriously, mighty thanks to those who helped, was ace to get over to see the Resistance Gallery at last, and a mighty recommendation for you guys to seek out the "Clockwork Watch" events and Mr Elphick's next "Goblin King's Masquerade Ball", they are a magical wonderland!

Dear Londoners

If the list of wonderful events I'm doing this weekend is anything to go by I will see all of you soon. If I fall asleep mid-sentence may I offer my sincerest apologies. If I was mid-drawing tea will almost certainly bring me back.

Fri, May 4 7:30 pm – Sat, May 5 2:30 am: goblin king’s masquerade
http://www.goblin-king.co.uk/
(The old vic tunnels, london)
a fantastical night of faery! And probably the only occasion I will ever combine my usual scruffy-retro attire with my Barbarian party stuff.

Sat, May 5: resistance gallery art fair
http://resistancegallery.com/PopUp-shopping-day%282706507%29.htm /
(265 Poyser Street , Bethnal Green , London E2 9RF)
a stack of excellent artists in a one-afternoon display

Sun, May 6 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm: tomorrow’s world today! a clockwork watch event
http://www.advancementofsciences.com/
(Arch No. 10, Bermondsey Street Tunnel. Off Tooley Street. London. SE1)

Steampunkery at its best, blurring the lines between fiction and reality. And in this case I've kindly been invited to bring the First Tea Company Museum.

kind regards
x
