This be awesome i says: the London Fetish Fair have done a video promotion for fetishman …

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mz3PNIrzqws

… and forced me to narrate some comics and talk rubbish, and yet still they’ve managed to make an awesome video thing.

And it looks like the coffee, cake and kink exhibition’s running on into July! Get down there and peruse the finest in not-porn porn!

Well chuffed me.

oh yeah, and

1) there’s the infamous “fetish squid” uber-panel on the website

2) i’ll actually be at the London Fetish Fair the sunday after next, 13th July

3) and the Birmingham Bizarre Bazaar on the 20th July

4) And the sun drips down bedding heavy behind

5) The front of your dress – all shadowy lined

6) And the droning engine throbs in time

7) With your beating heart

8) end duran duran

right: exhibition’s up and running at
coffee, cake and kink
; fancy postcard/flyers are about to emerge from the printers; there’s a sketch from the Bristol Comics Expo
up on the fetishman website
; on the coming monday Heather, of London Fetish Fair fame, will be filming some footage of yours truly for a promotional short; for boardgame-y fun it’s a close call between playing Mavis’ URSUPPE and my copy of Risk which includes the fabulous hand-written mission card “CONQUER ANY 2 CONTINENTS (not including australia) AND PRESENT THIS CARD TO THE OTHER PLAYERS WHILST YOU ARE TOTALLY NAKED”. I reckon it’s only a matter of time before a) sexy OR b) gouging my eyes out trying to remove the image of Mavis nekkid. Buh.

Upcoming stuff:

now to 5th July – My exhibition “I can’t believe it’s not extreme pornography” at
coffee, cake and kink
. Yep, 3 weeks left comrades. See it! ’tis good! Raar!

Sunday July 13th – London Fetish Fair

(and maybe) Sunday July 20th – Birmingham Bizarre Bazaar

Bristol Comics Expo was a mighty laugh, in the end tim kindly drove me and the valiant mavis down there and the table was royally packed with the three of us perched behind it like three chirpy haemonculi. Mavis earns bonus points for simply making it down, but also for bravely showing us the spawning ground of the Mave: it’s Middle Earth i tells thee! No really! Tim earns points for bravely donning the life-size fetishman figurine/worm-outfit, and yes, it was apparently hot in the worm. Anyhoo, met some quality people, sold some quality comics, sampled beverages, chortled with welsh people, drank a lot of tea.

last weeks comic update went awry so you’ve got two cartoons this week to make up for it, have a butchers over on the fetishman website. The more studious amongst you may notice that i’ve finally fixed the numbering system on the gallery.

Upcoming stuff:

This month (June i tells thee) I’ve got an exhibition of yet more legislation-deriding comicry at coffee, cake and kink. Entitled “I can’t believe it’s not extreme pornography” it wallows yet further in the shortcomings of the new criminal justice bill. On the saturday 7th June i’ll be down there from mid-afternoon until kicking out time (or until the pub beckons too loudly), so drop round and harass me y’ swine ye.

Truth be told i think i’m getting better at this exhibiting malarkey, i’m well chuffed with the work – some from issue 7, but a load of new stuff too – and i’ve managed to source some nice archival-quality prints. Shexy. No teds this time, but then it didn’t seem to fit the intent.

Sunday 8th June heralds my return to the sunny slopes of the London Fetish Fair, and Heather and her fella will be doing a video thing about me and the comic out and about the place – wooyay!

Finally, with all due applause and teeth gnashing, the fetishman shop is finally selling issue 7 and the new “nun with gun” t-shirt i’ve been promising! wootrar!

anyway, see thee doubtless soon,

i know, i know – it’s always comic, comic, comic in these posts and fuck all about what i’m actually doing:

well apart from being busy with the freelance comic-y illustration empire i’m also enjoying the freelance cycle couriering but i’ll be forced to trim my hours on that as i may well have wrangled some freelance science. Does having 3 different freelance jobs make me the most freelance person ever? if not it definitely amuses me that i can almost legitimately describe myself as a rogue scientist, but i’ll know more about that come the end of the month.

End of next week they’re going to operate on my hernia-thing again (i hesitate to call it a hernia as it’s quite wee and it usually isn’t a bother. The only concern i have is that the same thing’ll happen as last time and it’ll end up returning in a couple of months and a little bit bigger again – and in that vein my fingers are crossed for the “great hairy minion” as he shall now be known). The day after that is the wendyhouse 10th anniversary which bug’s DJing at. I may have to miss it but i’ll see how i’m doing on the day – i can’t really complain though as i got to attend a couple of the Torture Garden Birthday nights last weekend, courtesy of D-, so it can reasonably be said that i’ve had a more-than-fair share of shits and giggles this month. Photos may exist from the sunday of me looking like the villain from a pantomime-gone-awry and wearing sequinned troose.

Would you believe it if i told you that there was another comic up on the website? no, i suppose not. fair enough, worth a try. etc.

Future plans for you to make note of:

Bristol Comics Expo 9th – 11th May 2008! yes, i have comics fo you. Mwahahaha!

My Exhibition of Extreme Porn cartoons at CCK in London June 2008. Probably with some kind of launch night thing on the 7th.
