rumours of my demise have been greatly exagerrated. the Whitby Goth Weekend was a giggle, armed

as i was with the new issue of fetishman (now with added barcode! aaah! tis like legal or summat!), although i fell at the final

hurdle on wednesday by falling asleep instead of boozing more (that said i made it through the next 4 days remarkably well so points

to jim for that ingenious intervention). Wednesday was also good because the new t-shirts arrived just in time to attend whitby, and

there are now a plethora of persons gadding about in these tasty wears.

Egad the new comic is a lovely thing to behold, and also apparently a good basic guide to the issues surrounding the Extreme Porn

legislation i have been told? not my intention, i merely wished to carve hot comedy meats from the soft underbelly of politics and i

think it manages this admirably. Excerpts from this mighty tome are up on the website for

your viewing pleasure.

In the midst of doing the next comic: issue #7 “banned!”. It looks mighty fine thus far (if i say so myself). As it currently stands it is a hideous brew of star wars references and a rare excursion on my part into political commentary, notably the far-too-easy target that is the “extreme pornography” legislation in the current UK criminal justice and immigration bill. Anyhoo, this weeks web-strip is a sneak preview of one of the strips in the next issue.

The March 2008 UK Web and Mini Comix Thing was a hoot as ever! it was good to meet old friends and new: mister thing was often to be seen running about the building fixing and finalising; the fallen angel crew joined me in lamenting the lack of the Mavis, and i then joined them at the pub afterwards; i had the pleasure of being situated next to the amiable mrs vampire free style whose comics i may currently be engrossed in. As the day wore on i was graced with the presence of Ms D-. who brought me a further two flasks of tea, and thus i’m claiming it was all a mighty victory.

right, now that i’m just about over my hangover … BARBARIAN PARTY FOR THE WIN! i assure you, there is nothing quite like standing around a flaming brazier in the dead of winter shouting “crom!” with your top off. I’m sure there is no way i can thank my friends enough for going along with it … so much ‘along with it’ that jim made his own hammer and furry loincloth … points also go to the two tea related gifts – clare and gareth’s tea-vomiting dinosaur is mighty but heather made me a FETISHMAN TEA COSY!
